The following projects are from my 2022 portfolio. These projects show my development from my 2020 projects and show how my skills have improved over the years. These projects represent my personal design style and how I chose to tackle the challenges.
kōen
Commercial Design
Kōen is a healing garden centre that shows the benefits of designing for human well-being. The project required a space to be adaptively reused and transformed into a well-being centre. This space is designed in an abandoned water reservoir and mkaes use of biophilic design and the 'nurtured by nature' concept.

hütte
Residential Design
RDP Housing Redesigned, by Hütte, is a new and improved RDP Housing that offers sustainability, micro-living concepts, and a space that allows the home owners to grow. The design incorporates both sustainable and inexpensive materials as well as sustainable living practices. This design provides families with a more fulfilling home environment and a home that can last a lifetime.

through the grapevine
Installation Design
Through the Grapevine is a multi-sensory Pop-Up wine tasting experience. This installation is designed to be easily assembles, disassembled, and transported to different locations around South Africa. The space uses different design elements to create a multi-sensory environment for it's guests which creates a lasting and memorable experience. The design uses sustainable materials and is universally friendly.

The following projects are from my 2020 portfolio and each project had a brief to be achieved. These projects show my range of abilities from the different types of design (commercial, retail, hospitality) to my modelling and rendering skills.
Booking.com Office Space
Commercial Design
Booking.com is an online travel agency. The project required a South African office space for this company that has an underlying theme of travel as well as a theme of South Africa. Taking one traditional aspect of SA and one modern aspect, this design encapsulates the perfect South African atmosphere in an office space that follows healthy workplace principles.

The Collective Hair Salon
Commercial Design
The Collective is a hair salon that offers a unique, luxurious experience to all it's clients. The design incorporates natural materials and a neutral, yet luxurious, colour scheme. The space is designed for the future, as it incorporates separate styling pods and stations to combat COVID-19, yet these spaces are designed to not feel fully closed off from the rest of the salon.

Skin Aesthetic Dermatology Clinic
Hospitality Design
The Skin Aesthetic Dermatology Clinic is designed to facilitate healing. As an extension to Hillcrest Medicross, this space offers patients a range of dermatology products and treatments. The space is designed with the 5 senses design principles in mind. The brief required this design to reach a minimum 5-star rating on the GBCSA Interior Tool.

The Wren Design at Chicky's Yard
Retail Design
The Wren Design is a retail space located at Chicky's Yard, PE. The design utilizes familiar construction materials but through new construction techniques such as 3D printed concrete. As part of the PG Bison 1.618 Education Initiative 2020 competition, this design is out of the box and aims at creating a distinctive shopping experience.
